Simple Mistake Ribbing Knit Dish Cloth
This week’s contribution to the Knitted Kitchen Blog Hop comes from me! I am really excited to be a part of this. This is a quick and simple cloth to make. I love the texture that is created by misaligning the ribbing. Thanks again to Lion Brand for providing the yarn.
Lion Brand Kitchen Cotton (80 yards)
6mm Knitting Needles
K – Knit
P – Purl
RS – Right Side
WS – Wrong Side
15 stitches and 18 rows in stockinette stitch = 4 inches
Size: 9 inches
To make it larger use a multiple of 4 + 3.
**Color change one the following rows: 12, 22, & 32**
Dish Cloth Pattern
Cast on 35 stitches
Row 1: (RS) K across.
Row 2: (WS) P across.
Repeat rows 1 & 2 (2 times).
Row 7: (RS) K4, *P2, K2; repeat until the last 3 stitches; P1, K2.
Row 8: (WS) *P2, K2; repeat until the last 3 stitches; P3.
Repeat rows 7 & 8 (2 times).
Alternate between rows 1-6 and rows 7-12 to create the textured stripe.
