Building the armholes
Stitch the tops of the shoulders together like so, starting from the armhole towards the neckline seaming together in 14 (16, 18, 20) stitches. Do this to both shoulders.
Adding the Hood
Row 1: Join in the first stitch, ch 2, hdc into the next stitches 73 (81, 89, 99) stitches; turn.
Row 2 – 9 (11, 13, 15): Ch 2, hdc into each stitch; turn.
Row 10 (12, 14, 16): Ch 2, hdc into the next 28 (32, 36, 41), hdc2tog, hdc into the next 4 stitches, hdc2tog, hdc into the next 4 stitches, hdc2tog, hdc to the end; turn.
Row 11 (13, 15, 17): Ch 2, hdc into the next 28 (32, 36, 41), hdc2tog, hdc into the next 3 stitches, hdc2tog, hdc into the next 3 stitches, hdc2tog, hdc to the end; turn.
