Abbreviations:
Sl st – Slip Stitch
Ch – Chain
Hdc– Half Double Crochet
FpHDc– Front Post Half Double Crochet
BpHdc– Back Post Half Double Crochet
Dc – Double Crochet
Chain until you reach the width of the bottom of your tablet. Your chain needs to be divisible by 6 so any of these numbers work.
[6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 54, 60, 66, 72, 78, 84, 90…. etc]
Take you chain and begin row 1 🙂
If you would like to follow the pattern for the specific one in the photo I have it below the instructions on creating a custom sleeve.
- Ch 1, sc into each chain, and place 2 sc into the last chain. Work around the opposite side of the chain single crocheting into each chain. Join with a sl st.
- Ch 2, hdc into each stitch.
- Repeat row 2 until the piece is 3/5 the height that it needs to be.
- Ch 3, 2 dc into the same stitch, skip 2 stitches, “sc into the next stitch, skip 2 stitches, 5 dc into the next stitch, skip 2 stitches” Repeat “” to the end. Place 2 dc into the last stitch. Join with a sl st.
- Ch 2, hdc into each stitch. Join with a sl st.
- Repeat row 4-5 until the piece can fully cover your tablet.
- Change colors
- Ch 2, hdc into each stitch. Join with a sl st.
- Ch 2, “fphdc around the next stitch, bphdc around the next stitch” Repeat “” to the end. Join with a sl st.
- Ch 2, “fphdc around the next stitch, bphdc around the next stitch” Repeat “” to the end. Join with a sl st.
- Ch 2, “fphdc around the next stitch, bphdc around the next stitch” Repeat “” to the end. Join with a sl st.
- Tie off and weave in the ends.
For the one pictured above (4.5 inches x8.5 inches)
- Ch 1, sc into each chain, and place 2 sc into the last chain. Work around the opposite side of the chain single crocheting into each chain. Join with a sl st.
